I discovered that mine sometimes does, but cant understand on what parameter decides
 
ps: anyway I have added an extra checkvalve so no probs

Often it'll fire a shot of fuel through the injectors at the same time. I think it then starts a timer to inhibit priming for a while, so if you turn on and off a few times, you don't flood the engine.

Albs.. I am leathered and reading your post. I have totally forgotten your pipe mate until now I am so sorry.
I will go down tomorrow and remove it then post it down to you

Just to add c ant think of on time I have had to change a fuel pump in an Omega so not a common  thinkg mate  x
