I need to get a damp meter so had a look on fleabay and I'm abit bamboozled by the choice! 

Cheap is always good and I'm wondering if this one will do the trick.    It says it's for wood, but there are identical ones listed which say are good for walls as well... So I'm abit confused!

I know I could spend £50 odd for an all singing and dancing model, but it'll only get occasional use so....

I think there will always be an element of damp ..........so I wouldn't expect a reading of zero, even in a " bone dry" home.

I've got a tenant who's claiming the property is damp!    I've lived in this property so I know full well it's not, but it's funny how houses suddenly become riddled with damp when the tenant starts messing me about with the rent!! 

So when I go and see her I want to take a damp meter, but need to know that it'll work in walls as well as wood...
