No, insulating tape just to see what it looked like ;)

Please tell me more about heat wrap, and where to get it.

Dont know mate  :-\ ...just thought you has heat shrinked some special tape stuff as it looks pretty neat and tidy . The stuff danzigfan mentions is what i was thinking of  :y

Tape has now been removed and the 'v' trim painted with black emamel paint :y
