That's assuming the internal cores are colour coded, they are all white. :o :o

The three being used had been marked at either end  :y

neutral connection! need both for power

had opposite when moved in to current place -- some numpty had live and neutral swapped on one of sockets in kitchen--
( then checked everyother socket-luckily just one, but electric shower (was) on cooker 60A circuit !) -- since then proper fusebox  etc.)

Well done that man :y :y and Kevin was right as well, two errors :y :y and thanks for all the suggestions.

The connection into the coop on the neutral although twisted together the conector was only griping one.
When we looked today the neutral and earth had been reversed or something similar after cutting into the cable. When we checked the terminator in the shed  cores number 1 and 2 were used along with the thicker cable which is normally for earth whoever had connected it up in the first place had used the thicker cable for neutral and we assumed that it was earth. Must check in future and not assume ::) ::)

The good news that all is now working to spec :y :y and it's fun watching the dogs with the electric fence ;D ;D
