Exhaust trim suggestion
« on: 21 August 2012, 21:03:15 »

Having got the eternal exhaust on, I see why TB is a fan.

I now want to sort out the slightly short (for the facelift) tail pipes. What have people used? Especially given that mine has two pipes, so will probably need 2 separate slash cut trims. There are quite a few on ebay but they all seem to taper out towards the tip and I am worried they wont have enough space to fit side by side. So any successful trim suggestions that have worked for you would be appreciated.

Hi I put a eternal 3ltr back box on mine about 2 months back and decided i wanted it a bit longer so I got two straight chrome ends from halfords. I think their where £12 each. Both went on no problems and look pretty good. I think you can just see them on my pictures in the gallery:y

I got some chrome ends from Lidl / Aldi, IIRC. About a fiver each and they look just like the "slash" cut originals.

They were one of their occasional lines, though. Not on sale all the time. :-\

This looks ok, but the way it tapers out makes me wonder if two pieces will fit side by side. I like the fact that it has a ring clamp/jubilee clip on it that can be properly tightened.
