You could check to see if you have a level sensor mounted on the passenger side wishbone to make sure someone just hasnt added an X to the CD!

If you are in bournemouth, trents have a v6 with HIDs still fitted in there yard (pick a part), You will have to remove them yourself, but I doubt they would cost much.

I didn't see that but the 2.2 CDX I was looking at today had both HID's fitted - I was tempted to take them out but didn't. Can't really work out why those on my car have been changed and I m not too fussed about HID or not, I just don't want an MOT failure caused by no levelling.

Maybe had a bump in its life and replaced with standard lights, should be fine for the MOT as long as they are adjusted correctly

On one side of my car I have a CD and other a CX (you can see where they have fallen off) the documents all say CDX though. It also seems to have level sensors so I cant really workout what was going through prev owners mind to remove the HIDs!

Yes could be - if I get keen I may go back to Trents and get the pair of HID's as I seem to have everything else required. Mind you if it will pass the MOT without level adjustment I might just leave it.

That fault message would bug me though, happened when I changed the wishbones and forgot to reconnect it!

Only way to get rid is reprogramme the MID with a TechII

Mine says CD on the V5C and GLS on the car, its a GLS
