Couple of interesting photos
« on: 01 September 2012, 18:41:47 »

Went to the local town feria( annual fair) today. In days gone by it was a once a year affair to meet up, buy and sell things over a week period. Today was the livestock and farm machinery.

I have watched the Willys Jeep being rebuilt on and off over the last 7 years by the local electrical engineer(real engineer ). Nice job.

The other device is the latest in combined olive tree shaker and gatherer. Does the hours work of two people in about five minutes. The green mechanism clamps to the tree trunk and then moves back and forth only an inch but many times a minute (the actual ground moves). The fallen olives are directed into a hopper and then when the mechanism is unclamped from the tree and the red canopy is lifted up hydraulically, the crop can be tipped into a waiting trailer.
