hi, the radio/trip computer,/etc,etc lcd type displey is wonky i.e only showing part charactors,,part numbers,, is it a common fault and is there an easy fix ?
i.v only just bought the car ,,1997 2.5 td gls and really dont want to get to involved stripping the dash out just yet  :o

easiest is to replace with a known good working one. not a big job tbh. :y

Guess its a 1994-1997 model.  Hard to find one fully working now for that age. Might be better to retrofit the more plentiful, later type, but will need some minor rewiring

should be a 94 to 97 as she was reg,d 29/12/97 ..whats the differance with the later type and what needs to be re-wired ,,

Rather than 2 smaller plugs, later type has a single 32pin plug. Couple of extra features, trip distance and trip fuel usage
