Stick to very regular oil changes before messing about with flushes.

The black smoke on start-up is likely to be unburnt diesel, not oil ;)

I did a flush on my old V6 grannie. My bro told me not to. Should have listened.

The next weekend I was fitting new big ends.  :'(

Fresh oil, injector cleaner, V-Power + 10 minute Italian tuneup... done.

Or wait, not possible on an old diesel? No idea. Lol.  :P
