Quick NCDC question
« on: 21 September 2012, 20:16:40 »

As and when my NCDC dies, I will replace it with an aftermarket double din unit. But what happens to my gid. Can it still display BC/temp/range values or will I loose them with the change.

And assuming its a Bose setup, you will need to remove the amp & speakers and replace them with something compatible with non Bose setup.

Best to retrofit MID in that case. Fairly strightforward, but you need new wiper stalk, and some simple wiring from stalk to MID.

I'm sure one of our breakers can furnish you with the plugs, pins, stalk and MID (though MID may need reprograming). Will need an element of soldering though, but easy, straightforward stuff.

I just need range/temp to work. Instant mpg, avg mpg etc are useless on lpg anyway.
