Relocating Lambda sensors on a 3.2
« on: 24 September 2012, 16:16:18 »

I've arranged for someone to do the welding as per instructions laid out in the help section and am ready to go, except for the fact that the guy who is going to do it is having a bit of a problem as to where the new location is meant to be. It looks to me that you cut the new holes for the Lambdas on the manifold down pipes before the pre cat.He says not, even though the pictures suggest that,it would be much apreciated if someone could clear this point up as it's holding up the job and I'm getting fed up with staring at that bloody EML  :D :y

You need to move the O2 sensors that are after the pre-CATs and before the main CATs to after the main CATs..

Yep, sensor needs to be between the main cat and the flange joint where the mid section attaches.

Sorry guys,I've studied the pics and with what you have said tried to figure it out, but the more I look at it the less I understand about what's got to happen, also how many blanking plugs do I need? I've bought two but do I need two more, and where are the other two Lambdas in the picture.  ::) :-\

You need two blanking plugs for the holes where the top lambdas were and 2 new bosses for the repositioned lambdas. They need to be repositioned to the rear of the larger cat on the inside of the exhaust pipe
