Guys, thankyou to all for your advice :y and to Chris and Pete for your kind offers :y The information is useful to keep in mind.

Seeing as my immediate need was for the plenum and nothing else yet planned / necessary i will hold fire until such time dictates.

P.S. More for the nappy budget! Oh no :P

I would say that you do need a torque wrench (or more than 1) at some point. Its just not critical on the plenum. IIRC, plenum is supposed to be 8Nm, so just the tiniest nip.

Now, if it were something more critical (or easily overtightened like cam covers), defo use torque wrench.

Screwfix do a 5-25Nm for 1/4inch £39.99 or 1/2 inch £34.99
