Let's face it, there's a broad spectrum of driving standards out there delivered by a wide age range,so of course  if you ask a loaded question and depending on who you ask then this is the sort of biased result you 'll achieve.
So let's pretend that I've been asked that same question and the reply would be, "most other drivers on the road",because as you know that no matter where you are on our roads there happens to be an abundance of arrogant and impatient riders and drivers who are NEVER wrong and are always ready to criticise other peoples actions whilst ignoring their own low standards.
What we should look at is the accident/age rates and I'm pretty sure it's not going to be the elderly driver that features highly in the scale of things SO...verdict,, load of old kahoonas. But having said that I do think that there should be better safe guards in regard to elderly drivers including a yearly driving assessment in conjuction with a driver related health check and if you can't meet the standard then it's over....legally!

My parents are both 68.

The old man scares the poo out of me.
Quite happy to sit at 39.9 mph in the outside of the 40 mph duel carrageway.
Anybody who even looks at him the wrong way and he wants to chase them down and fight them  ::) :-[

My mam is probably one of the best drivers i've ever known on the public road.
Gets her boot down when its safe and her middle name is tollerance  :y

Guess which one I take after   ::) :-[

On a more serious note, imho its time to force all drivers over 70 to take a refresher test.
This should last a good hour and be a good mix of all types of driving  ;)

yep some older people are annoying, but then again so are a lot of cyclists, ,motorcyclists, and young racers, wont just say boy racers coz I have seen my fair share of idiotic you women drivers

I'm no where near a perfect driver, but I do observe speed limits as much as I can, I do remember where most of the speed signs are and adjust my speed to the right  one in plenty os time, without harsh breaking.... makes me mad when you see a count down sign, yet people insist on slamming on just after the limit sign

I`m the original mister slow
Even on my test the examiner was looking @ his watch.
I like to hit that sweet spot at about 25 mph, then she makes a nice sort of whistley noise.
