Some cars are obviously worth more to some people than others ::)

Doesn't bode well for the higher mileage ones though :'(

'This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold.'

Presumably ended early then and sold for some amount.

Have often seen a lot of bids at 99p , wonder if this is the reason that people do win items and the seller is legally bound to sell for 99p if no other bids and no reserve  :-\ Bargain if he got it for 99p but i would of haggled a bit  ;D

No the seller would be excercising that little known (and in my view immoral) right to withdraw from sale. Maybe advertised elsewhere.

EGay take a dim view of that, but can't keep on top of the millions of auctions.

Like a many walks of life, ebay is ruined by a relatively small number of retards who think rules don't apply to them - in many cases, withdrawing an item for sale because it wasn't looking like making the amount the seller wanted, and the seller was too tight/retarded to put a reserve on.

Surely, if you don't put a reserve on an item then you at least put the start price somewhere in the same vicinity as the bare minimum that you'll take for it :-\

Or is that too much like common sense ::)

True but if your starting price is lower you get more people looking/watching/bidding at your item, as it 'seems' a bargain

Perhaps :-\ but personally I'd prefer a handful of seriously interested buyers rather than a whole gaggle of geese ::)

Some of these 'tards do not see why Ebay shoudl not be free, thus this they should bypass the rules.  Starting low, and no reserve, makes listing cheaper.

Yep, and then the sell the car for cash outside of ebay, pull the listing, and avoid the final sale price fee too.  It's a problem that has existed since ebay started, and they have never been able to resolve it.
