I was talking to my better half about "Why Don't You" just the other day .. she's too young to remember it  :-[ :-X .. of course your quote might not have been a reference to that at all ;D

Yep appreciate that Mr Tunnie, fortunately I only have the one controller at work which operates our NOC screens.... Dunno why, we rarely turn them off... unless the whole MPLS network has died and the red spots on the nodes on the map start to get annoying  ::) ;D

It's when your huge array of admin tools, diagnostic toolsets etc gets overidden by a simple ping and traceroute to work out the issue! ::) ;D

I'm jealous. ICMP is dropped just about everywhere in our networks. Grrrr.
