Check toilet rolls VERY carefully.

Also check the alcohol carefully

Why? The supermarkets carnt be selling secondhand ones are they  :o ;D

No just that you need to price EVERY pack up to see which is cheapest

Sorry Martin.......i knew what you meant.........couldnt resist a cheap joke  :-[ :y

I knew you were joking but didn't know if you knew about the bog roll pricing

Was just listening to radio prog......and women on it said make sure your not paying extra for buying bigger bags of one item...

I buy Holly her food in 1Kg boxes........coz its cheaper buying 5 x 1kg boxes of food than a 5kg bag of food.......work that one out.......but its true buying smaller packs of food is sometimes cheaper  :-/

And thats from a major food retailer starting with T.......... ::)

Yes, smaller packs can be on offer with a cheaper trade price pro-rata than for the large unit, thus the retail price reflects this.  It is always best to check out the LIS (line indicator strip) on the shelf to see if any price per Kg or equivilant is shown to see what is the best deal at that point in time.

With promotions in supermarkets it is also possible for own brand product to be dearer than branded ones.  You have to keep your brain alert when shopping to get the best deals. :y :y

Lizzie Zoom with retailers hat on! :y

Not on offer Lizzie......its been like it for months......5x 1kg boxes are cheaper than a 5kg bag  :y

It is a trade price offer, one of those absurdities, that continues to affect the retail price.  Witnessed it many times in my time in the retail trade. :y
