Audio Problem
« on: 29 November 2012, 09:48:22 »

Hi guys, i have asked this question before but i cant find it :(
So ill start over again, i have a 3.2 Elite, well it was my dads but now its mine :D, and well i have replaced the Headunit with an Aftermarket Headunit, and i have lost all sound. I was told i need to change the amp and replace some speakers, now if i replace the amp and the speakers will all the other cars speakers work is well? As right now i have no sound what so ever. Also which speakers do i need to replace?

Please and Thank You

You'll need to replace all the speakers as they are 2 ohm, aftermarket stereos start at 4 ohms.
You'll also need to modify the wiring in the car.

As said, you need to change all of the main speakers in your car,
you have two in the front door and two in the rear door.
Being as you have an Elite with the Bose sound system you should have an extra two speakers on the rear shelf.
All of these speakers are wired into the 2 ohm Bose amp.

You need to sort out the wiring before you change the speakers or you risk burning out your headunit...
