Me too . . .

 . . . . along with v10, v9, v8, v7, v6, v5, v4, v3, v2 and v1

I just don't like the way it dictates and controls what to do rather than doing what I want it to do.

Im glad you all agree, but i only use it for my music which ive found very easy to use in the past.

Saying this, ive just bought myself a windows phone, Lumia 800, and i love it, so im thinking of migrating my 20.5GB of music and getting rid of iTunes.

gayTunes should never be allowed near Windows. Cynics may say crApple have made it that way on purpose ;:)

I go on iTunes just once for each Apple device, purely to activate the device. I then do my utmost to avoid it in the future, mainly because I can't work out what it's doing.  ::) ::)

The chap I work with watched thousands of music singles vanish before his very eyes when he synced his new lap top with his iPhone. His new lap top library was empty when it synced it automatically and emptied his iPhone music.  ::) ::) ;D ;D
I have mine set to manual sync, but as I say, I don't understand it enough to use it properly so I don't use it.  :-\

Thats the point, you're not meant to understand what it's doing. It does what it thinks you want to do . . . and gets it all wrong.

How many iTunes users actually know where on the hard drive the music files are stored ? Very few, including my kids and my Mrs. Thats why they loose them etc. How many iTunes users know what the bitrate and/or quality of their music collection is ? I could go on and on. And then of course there's the biggy, you have to go online and register a device before you can use it.

So, you may have gone into a shop and parted with hard cash, sometime a LOT of hard cash, but you cannot use what you have bought ! Bizzarre . . . but a very clever cash making ploy.

I think newer gayDevices can be activated over the air, thus not needing gayTunes at all.

it's shit, i don't like it....

for breaks sakes Apple,  get a grip,   virtually everything you've done since SJ passed away has been seriously flawed one way or another.....  jeeeezsus  , you really are losing it....

god help me when they bring out a new dumbed down version of Logic "Pro" ,  if they do what they did to final cut.....  it'll be the end of apple as a pro-audio platform.
