I had a court date and a verbal agreement that settlement would be made before the date when everything was put on hold  

I hope we can get this lifted and I can get my money back soon!!

what happened, did they back out of the verbal agreement?? when was your claim stayed

Got it in one... They hadn't given me a figure, just said to contact them the week before the hearing and they'd settle out of court. Then 2 weeks before hearing date it got stayed  

Now been waiting ages to get my money back!

All the best with it.  But I won't sign - I'm all for high charges, as it allows me free banking

I can see your point. But, I went into the bank and asked for a temporary increase of overdraft of £250, reducing monthly by £50 to current level as we'd ended up a little overstretched (hadn't realised how much we'd spent on our wedding!) and they refused... From that day on we received over £1500 in charges, which we wouldn't have got if the banks were run by people instead of computers!   >
