Out of those on the list it has to be Nicky Adams for me.

The first womens olympic boxing gold medal

Came from nothing to achieve a gold medal with nothing more then true grit and determination.
True hero stuff in my book and something for the kids who have nothing to aspire too.
Anybody that can put Mary Kom on her arse has my serious respect.
She doesn't sniff round the media like all the others have / do and to be honest, she acts just like a kid living her dream when infront of the camera's

Well done my dear, you may well be fugly but your one hell of a ambassador for the spirit of the olympics in my book and thats what it should be about imo

It's just gotta be a Olympian! but the competition between them is hot!!! 

Bradley Wiggins has to be in with a fair shout, and yes Nicky Adams is up there too. Mo Farah? Jessica Ennis? I don't know to be honest, but I'd like to see the two girls who won gold in the coxless pairs get some sort of recognition, just because their reaction to winning was priceless and was THE moment of the Olympics for me!! 

They'll probably give it to John Terry.....

A difficult choice, IMHO. Each of them has got an incredible story behind them, and has made an incredible achievement this year.

Jess Ennis had a cloud of pessimism following her around in the media about how she was bound to @rse it all up at the last minute, well, she gave them one in the eye.

Tour de France then the olympics a couple of weeks later?

A really tough decision. Whoever wins it, it will be well deserved this year.

The Ryder cup was ... Incredible. Even non golfists would egree. Europe where down, out, dead And buried. But they won. The greatest come back ever. If the Golf had lasted as long as the Olympics I think the golf would have won.

Quite a year for sport though. And only a slight mention if ,y@wn, football.
