50 guns eh ?
Why some on here have 3 cars  :o :o

How dare they  ::)

Anyway, whats it got to do with the UK anyway ?
Morgan is nothing more them a arrogent little to$$er anyway who should have his passport ripped up and band from ever returning to these shores.

I really believe its about time we learnt to keep our mouths shut and our noses out of other cultures.
What the yanks do on there shores is there business and nobody elses.

Sad as it was, did anybody here really lose any sleep over what happened at that school or did we use it just as a excuse to have a good old whinge and whine  :(
Now, if it happened in my street, city or country then yes i'd be bothered but 3000 miles away across the ocean ............. no, I couldn't care less  ;)

+1  :)

Don't care? Let's hope you or your family never go there on holiday then, or stray outside the safe places when in Florida, or Miami for example. I've got members of my family that have just left to go there working for a year and it concerns me that whenever anything goes wrong in the USA the first thing they reach for is a firearm of some sort  :(

If me or my family go anywhere, we way up the pro's and con's of where we are going.
If I went across to the states, I wouldn't just look at the costs, i'd look at the whole picture and then make my choices.

If you go away on holiday, you can either go along with the tour guide and see what they want you to see or you get off the beaten track and see what its really like and take the risks asociated with it.

Of course I don't wish harm on anybody but you need to go into any situation with your eyes wide open.  Hopefully, thats what your family have done and I wish them all the luck in the world on there adventure.

Imo, the majority of folks over there are great and bear no resemblence to the NRA muppets that are getting all the airtime at the moment  :)

The thing is, over here the advrage nutter will knife you or smack you over the head with a piece of 4x2 but over there, they run around with a M16 assault rifle  :(

At the end of the day, there culture and business is exactly that and we have no right to stick out noses in  :)

I have been to america a few time, prefering the non tourist areas,, the people are generally friendly and interested in you,
most of them never travel more than a few miles from home in their life,
friend of mine handed me an AK47 when we met, he knew I was a shooter,

btw I have 6 guns, each for a different purpose, bit like a golfer has several golf bats for diferent uses.

I don't think that by discussing the US gun laws here we are 'sticking our noses in'.  ::) It's a car forum and I doubt it will cause a diplomatic incident!  I think that we can and should be able to discuss anything from any country.  :)

Piers Morgan is just doing what he is paid handsomely to do, and lets face it he is good at playing devil's advocate.  ;) I've no doubt that his American bosses at CNN are right behind him and are rubbing their hands with glee at the increased viewing figures and advertising revenue that Morgan's interview with Alex Jones has generated.  ::)

An official from the US State Department yesterday expressed concern about a possible referendum regarding Britain's relationship with the EU.  Now THAT'S sticking their nose in!!!  >:(

How true Jonny! :y :y

On our very first holiday in the USA we managed (quite a story in itself!) to find ourselves standing in a hotel courtesy bus queue outside JFK airport in  New York.  It was very humid, the buses were running very late, and very full, due to a severe rainstorm and flooding of some roads.

A bus turned up, and a group of white Yanks at the front of the queue expected to board this already overloaded bus.  A black guy, who was supervising the loading of these buses said to the group of guys they couldn't board.  One of this group then started to become very aggitated, and before we knew it this guy said to the black guy "I will get onto that bus you f...king n....r! I will f..king shoot you n....r if I don't!", and promptly produced a hand gun.  My ex grabbed all of us together and wisely said let's just get out of the way; things are getting nasty!

To cut a long story short the white guy and the rest got on the bus!

Now I love America, and all the American friends and those that I have met over decades.  In most States you are not aware of the gun culture, and certainly my friends (ex-USAF) did not own guns, and did not agree with them.  But they warned us that there was a danger of them being used in certain situations, such as the one we encountered in New York.  So, yes American's owning guns may be none of our British business, but when you spend time in the States you may decide it is a concern and wish it wasn't.

Yep, dead right. :y

It's not as if they are just doing it for our own good. The fact is that the main reason for their concern is that they are worried they may lose their main ally in Europe. ::)

This is a very important move by the USA.  It is certainly "sticking their nose into British business"!

It will definitely place extreme political pressure on the whole of Westminster.  Our Government should never bow to pressure from external political powers, but we do need to work with the States.  If you were Cameron / Clegg what would you do?

Perhaps go on an American chat show and rant about the independence of GB and 1776 was a long time ago?! ;D ;D ;)
