« on: 16 January 2013, 13:06:28 »

Hi all im new to the forum, Ive just removed the drivers side coil pack on my 2.6 cdx estate to find the spark plugs immersed in water cyl 5? closest to the front was full, 3 clear and some (about 3-4ml)  in cyl 1? (rear of head). Have not removed 246 coil pack yet (affraid too :'( )
Any ideas?

Leaking scuttle!

They do that. Poxy things. Seal up with mastic or similar sealant around the wiper spindle above the drivers bank. And run a bead along the metal work around the scuttle drain where two sections of shuttle meet.

Soggy foam on the under side of the scuttle is a clue. You can test it with a hose or watering can poored on the screen and see where the water drips through. Also check the screen to scuttle seal is seated correctly, if not, remove suttle, re seat the seal it just pushes on, then apply your sealant to the scuttle and wiper spindle foam washer Once all is dry.
