Setting the scene ..... dark ..... 1" of snow on un-gritted main road & still snowing. 
Just nipped to the chippy this evening for chips to go with the steak for tea  and noticed an Omega estate (proper shaped prefacelift  ) stranded at the roadside, bonnet up & a Eurobox facing it, attempting to revive it - he hand jump leads in hand.
I pulled up just behind & asked if they needed a hand. Bloody thing won't start he said, tried off the Eurobox, but the Omega still wouldn't play. As I nodded to the Merc I suggested that it might do a bit better  . Faced the Omega with the Merc, & popped its bonnet. As the battery is under the seat, I knew there was a positive post at the side of the engine bay, but never really thought about the 'earth'. Connect up the cars, and his Omega started!
Result!


Just need to find a better 'earth' point just incase there's another need to jump or be jumped
