i went to my local exclusive health club today, after a swim and workout i popped the locker money back in my holdall before hopping in the shower.
while in the small changing room there was a kid of about 10 in there unsupervised and noone else. so when i returned from the shower i found the zipper of my bag opened and the money missing, after emptying the complete bag etc i spoke to the staff making the accusation regarding this "unsupervised kid".
as he was the only one in the room (any other person coming in would made the door slam) i felt confident he was the only culprit so persued the accusation- but got the reply" we cannot go around accusing anyone of theft unless we have proof".
i gave the proof (it could not have been any one else) but still got no joy- but the staff gave me the lost money from the till.
so,
1 the kid gets away with either his mother or him being questioned about it
2 he will think hes got away with it and next time it will be a wallet, valuables and later car keys etc.
3 why is it so easy to become a victim without any recourse nowadays?
i know it was a bit childish but on the way out i held my hand up to him with the gesture im watching you. it just gets worst don't it!
