Outside temp sensor and engine temp sensor
« on: 30 March 2013, 10:36:15 »

 >:(
I have found the outside temp sensor and after taking the connector off (which was full of water)
I now have a -40 on the display it was +58 before so looks like the sensor is duff which I was expecting
But I have now noticed that the engine temp gauge is sat at zero so question is are they linked anywhere
I don't drive the car daily at the moment so I can't think back to see if temp gauge was working I have recently changed the crank sensor so could I have disturbed the engine temp sensor while doing this

The wire for the engine temperature gauge just clips on to the sensor. It is very easy to knock it off.

Pain in the bum to have to take the plenum off again but dead easy fix once you can reach it :y

Unlikely, sensor connector is circled orange in pic

::) We have been out and about in the Omega today and when we left the guage wasn't working I had ,had my scanner plugged in and it was reading an engine temp of 65 so the engine wasn't cold after driving for a bit the guage had a little wiggle then started working and has been OK since so hopefully it's OK again  :y
