Suspension rattle
« on: 29 March 2013, 10:40:00 »

I've got a fairly bad front O/S suspension rattle which has got worse recently.
The drop link has been replaced so I guess bottom arm is the culprit.
What is the going rate for replacing these, it's not a job I'm equipped to tackle ?
Any advice appreciated.

2woody is up your way i think. Drop him a pm. I'd suggest diagnosing the exact fault before going any further.

as already stated by chris there's a lot of parts related to the front suspension of a mig, so really need to identify the affending item rather than changing parts on a wim  hth  ;)

Drop link was replaced 3 weeks ago.
The bushes on the Arm look tired especially the rear one.

Are you sure the drop link nuts are tight? I had a similar fault, turned out to be drop link nut not tight, so drop link top eye moving up and down on nut.

Cause found today, knackered steering tie rod, previously replaced 2 years ago.
Rubbish pattern parts it would seem.

Been there myself. Tend to stick to GM parts for track rod ends now.
