I use this one.  It's easy to use, lighter than most of it's size, lifts to full extension in 3 pumps and will usually go under a lowered car.

I'm pretty sure they can be got cheaper at costco.

That's very nice that, may have to invest in one of those too  :y.

I keep looking at that one myself. Trouble is, my Merc is 2300kg, although I don't intend lift it all up in the air in one go (or very often  ::) )
I have used it when servicing a BMW X5 and it lifted it easily. :y

Thanks for all the advice. yeah I think I got the wrong use for the flare wrenches..... a good set of 6 point impact sockets instead for the suspension stuff.

I think im going to hold out for this week as I still cant decide.

that sealey one looks good especially for the price. anyone had any experience of those?

Webby, if it's any consolation, I bought a pair of the 6 tonne stands from MM too. They were bigger than I'd expected too.  ;D ;D

Right guys, thanks for all the input.

Can't find an Arcan for a decent price. I also liked the look of the Sealey one that someone else posted so looked in to sealey stuff a bit further.

The one in the pic looked a bit too much like mine and not being awkward but I don't like having a small lever..... really wanted to pay the bit extra and get one that will lift a billion tonnes with ease  :D ;D

Anyway...I think i'm set on either the original one in my post or this one from Sealey....

Thoughts?  :y

ps sorry this is going round and round but I really don't want to have to buy a jack 'n' stands again so I wanna get it right first time  :y
