New Omega Advice on a couple of issues please
« on: 08 June 2013, 19:17:24 »

Hi all

Picked up the new omega today.  2002 2.2 CD Auto

Nice and tidy but needs a couple of issues sorting

Firstly

EML was on - went to a friend who checked it and came up with Camshaft Sensor code.  Drove away and used all day and now EML light has gone off.  Does this mean the problem is gone ?

Secondly

On startup sounds tappety for a few minutes - any ideas

Lastly

Central locking not working on passenger door - again any pointers

Bits of paintwork to tidy up but after doing 30 miles today got to say I am pleased to be back in an omega

Nope.

Few quick oil changes (about 1-2K apart)

Try lubing, if that fails swap the motor out (fronts are the same both sides from MFL on)

4 pots love fresh oil, change every 3k will do wonders to the smoothness.

Dump the coolant too, replace with fresh, help protect that HG :)
