I avoided unplugging the connector  from the switch cluster in the door card because it looked very complex and I didnt want to make another job repairing it. Is it a complicated plug and socket or was I just chicken. :'(

Whenever I've replaced the front lock solonoids I've always completely removed the doorcard (unplugging the switches) to gain as much clear access as possible.
