well i have now got a more realistic idea.

Since i am emigrating to new zealand, i have decided to ship my omega over with me and install a Holden Commodore engine.

What do you think?

 :D I`m soooooo envious; what a wonderful country!  :y

if you have owned the omega for less than 3 years you have to pay crazy tax on whats its valued at over there, which it a LOT more expensive! so add that onto the £750 - £1000 import fees, the to buy a ls1 there wont be that easy as they are really sought after for hot rods.

another option would be to sell your omega, find someone breaking one here, buy the bonnet, boot, lights and bumpers and ship them to NZ then fit them to the holden! then youve got a LS1 omega without any of the headaches of importing/exporting cars.
