Ooh I bet that smarts.

At about the age of 6 we had a ginger kitten in the house. Maybe 9 months old. We also had a dog. Big fluffy thing. Called Fluffy funny enough.
One day the dog walked into a room, cat got spooked, made the dog jump, which scared the cat more, fight broke out. I tried the pick the cat up to keep it out of reach of the dog. The cat saw my arm as a ladder and escaped from the dog by running up my arm and clamping onto my head screaming and yowling at the dog.

I was a mess and screaming too after. Basically the cat stuck its claws in my head and wouldn't let go. MUUUUUUM  ;D

Max, Andy & LD - so sorry to hear about your losses :( I remember well when my last cat (ok, technically I should probably say my parent's cat!) died, and that was 13+ years ago now.

Chris - I'll check on the sexes of the two she has left, I think the mostly black (with a little white) one is a boy, and I think the almost all white with the odd black spots one is a girl. They're currently over in Virginia Water and I'm sure she'd be fine with a trial; one was due to go to her neighbour and as they have another pet she insisted on exactly that.. sadly said pets did not agree so no cat for her neighbour!

My better half is increasingly unsure about the kittens, unfortunately - she's not great with animals in general and won't handle the hamster after the 'droppage' incident even - so there's a chance there might be two more available..
