Fuel/Emissions/Tyres
« on: 17 July 2013, 18:59:48 »

For the 2014MY Jaguar are releasing a 2.2 Eco Diesel model. The official factory figures for this car read, combined fuel on 17"tyres 57.7,co2 emissions on same tyre 129.However on 20"tyres these figures become 55.4 and 135 respectively.Top speed and 0-100km acceleration remain the same no matter what tyre size is chosen.I would have thought that the larger tyres would work out to have the same rolling radius as the smaller ones.So why the difference in some figures and not others?and does ths apply to all makes/models of car?

Suspect the proper tyres have some grip, unlike the eco 'dangle berries'

20"s are probably a damn site wider too, so considerably more dragfriction/grip from them compared to a 'normal' tyre, let alone an eco one :y
