Is your Friday a day early every week? Or is this a one off? 

Same day every week. In fact, could argue, that I get two Fridays a week. But that would be silly.

Not quite the same for me then. I'll be back in again for 3 days next week (Tues, Wed & Thurs) then off again for 6 days, but then in for 5, off for 3 then in for 6 .... mostly 12 hrs So I do 14 days in out of 28 every 4 weeks. 

No that's way too complicated or our management.

Continental 12 hour days. Thurs, Fri, Sat.  Sun off. Mon, Tues, Weds FRIDAY (7 days off )

Although. First day back is Thursday Monday.

...and discuss this with colleagues to wind them up, first day back. "I hate Mondays" etc. especially at 6am with a full shift ahead.


Thing is though, in the bleary eyed am. I start believing it is actually Monday, when really, its Thursday. Aaaaaaah

BT Sport now have the rights, although ESPN have lost all their decent rights, so nothing good on there any more.

It will fail. Just like Espn and Setanta before it.

It really annoys me tbh. All the media and papers bleating on about "fair competition with sky" etc

Its not bloody fair at all. Its now two subscriptions to watch the same amount of football!

Not really, BT Sport have around 30 Premiership Games. They have cherry picked some big names for their adverts, but with Sky you get 116 games over the course of the season.

Virgin Media have just announced a deal with BT Sport so you can get Sky Sports and BT Sports for one price. 

BT Sport claim to have signed up over 1m subscribers already. They can't afford to fail as they will lose being a major broadband player. BT Sport is their defence against the Sky and Virgin packages of TV + Phone + Broadband. Personally I hope they succeed as having three major players in the marketplace has got to be good for competition and hopefully long term consumer prices.
