Oil Change

I need to do an oil change ASAP,so my back is now against the wall, I feel silly asking how its done, :-[ is that canister containing the oil filter Alumimium or Plastic,how do I get it off + with what,sump plug is it Allen or Torx

Might help if you told us what engine an year, as it did change.

Spin on filter, metal, any clamp tool will remove it.

Later V6's around 2000 onwards, take paper. It's in a metal canister, 24mm socket to remove lid, which contains the filter

Sorry my computer skills are worse than my mechanical :-X Its not a spin on type and shes a 2000 30ltr man just on the new shape. cheers

Thanks Tunnie now I just need to borrow that proper trolley jack from work and tell all the snobby neighbours in this part of Croxley village to jump in the Grand Union 50yards away, when they start giving me ear ache on their Vehicle repair rules ;)

OP - make sure you use axle stands as well, rather than trust your life to a jack's o ring hydraulic seal....

Do you consider Croxley to actually be a village?

Thats what they call it,not me, I live in 1 of there flats,no vehicle repairs for us, but houses do what you like.  :y
