Are the displays unique to the diesel engined cars,or will one from a petrol engine car be ok. If so I think I have a couple of later display types from 2.5/3.0 V6 cars.

Well to add to the mix, I just drove back from Edinburgh airport and the display wasn't working.......until about 4 miles after the bridge when it came back to life with no pixels missing!
Stayed on all the way back to Letham, the went off again, for no reason that I can think of, but came back again about 30 seconds later????!!!
So, I'm guessing a loose connection somewhere behind the instrument cluster?
That has to come out as the LH indicator repeater has ceased to work, the relay is clicking nicely and the indicators all work!
Oh and add to that the leak off pipes have started leaking again, going to be a busy day or two then.

All seems to be well now!
Replaced lamp for indicator repeater and paid extra attention to the plugs on the MID whilst refitting the cluster, so far the display has remained lit!

#6 injector leak off pipe needed to be replaced, so all is well again, just the coolant transfer pipe to get sorted.
