Omega 2.2 Dti vibration under 1500 rpm
« on: 10 August 2013, 20:50:43 »

Hi. I have a 2003 Omega 2.2 dti estate. My problem is that the engine seems to vibrate and make a drumming noise through the car below 1500 rpm, in any gear. Otherwise the car starts and drives ok?
Thankyou in advance

Good thinking... I may try swapping them side to side?

Changed the engine mounts today for new ones. . .  And what a difference!

They are special hydraulic ones. It seems the drivers side one had burst and leaked all its fluid.

I noticed the exact same thing on mine when I was driving it yesterday.
Was doing 80kph and was inbetween 1000 and 2000 revs and a lot of vibration. Another thing to add to the list!
