washer pump

(2001 omega elite estate) hi all washers front and back are not working (headlight washers are working) i think the windscreen and rear are on one pump no noise from pump at all fuse is ok wipers work could it be the pump itself p/n 90508709 before i get a new one (cant believe it past its MOT when purchased the car 2 weeks ago) thanks Darren

Washer pump for a F/L estate should be part #90585762 (twin outlet). Number you are quoting is the saloon

Not being sarcastic, just informing you that if the pump you have at present is the same as the one in my pic, it`s for a saloon and not an estate

If pump is knackered with 12v applied you`ll need one of these

right just had further look sorry for being up tight omegas do this to u right first part is ok forget it that's my headlight washers the smaller pump appears to be the washers and it is a double its number is 090586632 that's the one not working

Vectra/Astra pump though works with most of the VX models. As I said, if pump doesn`t spin with 12v applied direct it`s knackered

Cheap enough on eBay, but as Rob says, make sure it's for an estate (or hatchback in the case of Astras, Vectras etc)

Again, as Rob says apply 12 volts to the terminals on top, it doesn't matter which way round because the pump just spins one way or the other to wash which ever screen, and see what happens.

What's in a number, other than the number of outlets from the pump?  ;) You need a pump with two outlets because it's an estate  :y
