Just had one of those calls which originate from overseas about the 'security issues' on your computer:

Caller:  Err hello this is Technical Support from Windows is that Mr G*********?
Me:     *sigh* yes
Caller:  Do you know that everytime you go on to the internet your computer is being infected with viruses which is allowing hackers to access your computer and information?
Me:     Hackers like you, you mean?
Caller: Yes, hackers like me.........erm.....
Me      *laughing*
Caller: ......errrrr........

*click*

Me:  Hello?  ..........Dont go, I was enjoying that!

I had one as well, told them where they could put their advice, they hung up !!

Had one of those a few weeks back, kept the muppet talking for ages trying to get me to access different screens, with my "limited" knowledge, he finally gave up when i informed him he would need to speak with our tech dept in the US as we are a worldwide company and it was a works pc

The abuse I give them at the end of our "conversation" I particularly relish!

I might go a bit further next time and use a redundant lappy, stick it on a separate VLAN islolated from the rest of the network, let them infect it and monitor the activity (find out their IP address, username, etc).....and then..........

One of the phones in the office is on a suckers list.  Oh the hours of fun we have wasting their time
