Further to my old trade club source (Bellinger Grove) failing, I am happy to report that yesterday I called at Drive Vauxhall, Bristol, flashed my Autobahnstormers card, and got oil and filters at trade club prices. Thanks for advice, chaps.

Drive in Bury are no longer a TC dealer which is (I think) why Andyc is no longer able to support us in the way he did

Its not the dealers, its tradeclub. They kicked over 300 dealers out for not meeting certain requirements (eg, a certain number of vans delivering the stuff, a certain turnover etc). This means that many of the smaller, more helpful dealers can no longer do it, including my local place.

Thus, for non stock items, I now have a 50 mile round trip to order an item (as my next nearest won't take an order over the phone), thenn another 50 mile round trip to pick it up. Plus the fact that I can only get there Sat morning.

So I suspect I'll just end up using Bridge and pay Trade (rather than TC) for most parts

Never been offered a van delivery, or do they mean vans between dealers...?

Better check my local dealers, Reading still are, but not sure about my nearest in Bracknell. Slough still are but can't get to them these days. (Hence the q re vans)

TC is set up for garages etc, thus deliver directly to your business premises. If you have a proper TC card and an account with that dealer, you may get somewhere, as you can accept delivery any time (this is where I fell over). I used to get deliveries from Grose, but in the end it turn out easier to just use Bridge, and pick stuff up myself (or send Mrs TB on the way back from work )

No TC in Cornwall at all now, nearest is plymouth,70 miles away
