Xenon headlights
« on: 03 May 2016, 20:57:55 »

How easy is it to change from standard headlights to Xenon?

I have the lights. What else do I need?

You need:

Leveling ECU
Front and Rear level sensors
Xenon headlight switch without manual level control
Washer Jets
Washer pump
Quite a lot of wiring

Quite a lot of time!

You need:

Headlight leveling ECU sits behind drivers headlight and between inner and outer wing.
Front and Rear level sensors
Xenon headlight switch without manual level control
Washer Jets
Washer pump
Washer bottle for both pumps... Cars without only have one pump point.
Quite a lot of wiring

Quite a lot of time!

If we were to forget the levelling and the washers (yes I know you are not supposed to) what else do I need to rob from the donor?

I believe there is a relay.

Is the wiring loom basically the same?

Is there some sort of ignitor?

Personally with the super bright normal bulbs you can get now, is it worth the hag.  :-\

If you have complete units with ballast you can just put them in and wire up, but you really don't want to do that, you will just become one of those exceptionally annoying people driving around blinding everyone else!
