is that photoshop :o or is that a real monstrosity --er car er van er ffs i give up

No my friend - It's unfortunately as real as they come!  :'(

Wow, do they all come with every panel a different colour..?

Mum Bus, so most will have seen a few dents every now and again day or so.  ;D

That is a Mitsubishi Delica.
Which is a Shogun chassis, running gear and engine (2.8 Diesel. 3.0/3.2 Petrol) with a Minivan body.
And they are f*ing brilliant - IF you can afford the petrol  :(

Second only to a Landy Defender off-road. Big and kitted out as a VW camper bus.
Proper off-road day van/camper
I've always wanted one to replace the transit, but economics preclude  ::)

You can not say that is better off road than a Jeep, or perhaps you were putting the Defender behind the Jeep......... ;) ;) :-\ :-\

never been off road in a jeep...  :-[

I should rephrase as "of all the cars I've driven, second only to a Landy Defender off-road."

Most 4x4's are better off road than the Jeeps in my experience, probably even a 4x4 Panda  ;D ;D

Nothing gets close to a proper Land Rover though as others are just to fragile in comparison.

I do know that there's a bloke who goes to Murton Auction Centre (www.ylc.co.uk) who was making a fair bit of money pulling a *lot* of 4x4s out of the mud with his Delica a couple of years ago when a rainstorm turned the car park overflow field into a swamp

I cannot comment on their off road capabilities (although I reckon they'd be terrible).

Once again, had to suffer the sea-sick ride in a Delica tonight.  Should be banned from the UK's roads in my opinion.

You have previously said that the Jeep in competent off road, have you drive one off road? I accept they drive like a jelly on road, like most 4x4............... :)

My previous 4x4 experience has been by having 1 and owned 2, one which I triled, Series 3 Land Rovers, arguably the best 4x4 ever........ :y :y

I should also add that in 39 years of driving, apparently the best all round 4x4 is the Lada Niva, for perhaps 6 months, I have been in one on an off road course and was well impressed......... ;) ;)

For serious offroad, of course the Defenders and RR (and Discos to a lesser extent) are more compitent than any Jeep. Or just about anything else for that matter. Obviously the vehicle needs to be set up for it, ie offroad tyres.

Its truely amazing to see what one can do in the right hands, or even what they can do in the wrong (ie, mine ;D) hands. Look at what the rural utility companies use, what the army uses, what farmers use. Its all for a reason ;).

Downside is a Defender is a bit grim on the motorway, even the newer ones ;D

I went to a Landrover trial today with my lad,a few series models but mostly Defender and Discovery 2/300,christ I couldn't believe where those things can go :o :o,my lad thought I should have a go in our Disco ::),only mine hasn't got a mark on it and all the triallers today had every panel bent so we gave it a miss :-X
