Coil pack 2 4 6
« on: 03 December 2013, 14:00:29 »

Had a look in the maintainence guides but was wondering if there is a guide to changing the passenger side coil pack.

Does the pipe going in to the side of the plenum need to be removed as it looks a bit tight.

It helps :y

Unplug the rear multiram plug, remove the aircon pipe bracket, unclip the fusebox above the battery and undo the cabletray bolts. Cabletray goes forwards and outwards, fuse box goes over the main fuse box. Vac pipe goes over the engine. It is tight but not impossible  :y

When refitting plug the coil pack back in before pushing it fully home... not doing this means you'll trap the plug under the socket on the coil pack, breaking one or both.

There is a guide here somewhere, and you can free the loom from the cable tray and tie it up out of the way, never felt the urge to over complicate it that much personally  :-\
