SRS warning light problem....
« on: 09 January 2014, 00:07:40 »

The SRS warning light is staying on - I recently fitted a new nearside front door & didn't disconnect the battery  ::)
so that is probably the reason.
I'm in Halstead, North Essex, can anyone offer a Tech2 service to distinguish the light locally or if not, a bit further out?
The MoT is due next month so please let me know...
PM's welcomed, thanks.

Fairly sure Twiglet near Norwich has a Tech 2, if not theres a Guy in East London with one if I still have His number, other than it will be the usual members on here under TB's Tech 2 Page -

Out of interest, if the MOT is due now, and I'm not suggesting you do this, with an Air Bag light on is an MOT fail, should the Bulb not work it becomes an Advisory on a Pass, or at least it was 6 months ago.  ;)

Zirk, I would appreciate the east London guy's no if you still have it....I go into town once a week so it may be a good option. The other guys on the advertised list are a fair distance away.
I may look into getting one myself but I'm so rubbish at all this technical computer stuff... :-\

Might want to have a chat with your Bank Manager first,  ;D ;).

I'll see if I can dig out His number, its been a while, and pm it to you, alternatively, if you do pop in to East London a lot, theres a Garage near Romford that offer Tech 2 sessions. Just need to try and remember who they are.  ::)

You don't need a tech 2. One of the first code readers I ever bought is well capable of reading and clearing faults on most European (but not French) cars. Systems include ABS, SRS, AT, INSTRUMENTS, IMMO, ENGINE . And EOBD on all compliant cars.
that was £200. Not exactly a bank breaker.

Any local garage worth their salt will be able to clear it.
