Good old solid Omega.
« on: 07 June 2008, 00:11:58 »

Popped round my mum's this evening to get her shopping as normal. While i was round there her neighbour knocked the door and told me that while she was standing at her front door chatting to a friend a passing car had hit mine and knocked off my wing mirror. The car didn't stop and was speeding. A bit miffed, to say the least, i went to check the damage. Her young daughter ran up the road and brought back my mirror cover and a mirror glass just as i reached my car. The mirror had been smacked round and the cover knocked off but the mirror glass was still perfectly intact! I clicked it back in place and clicked the cover back on and checked it out with the mirror switches . I then realised that the mirror glass her daughter had recovered must have been from the car that hit mine and was cracked all over. Taking great pleasure dumping it in a wheely bin my mum and neighbour were amazed that my car was "undamaged". Apparently she has been forced to replace 3 wing mirrors since christmas due to exactly the same thing outside her house. As i returned home i was still a bit miffed but had a smug smile because the prat who hit mine had lost a wing mirror but my good old solid Omega was still intact. :y

If it wasn't and i had caught him/her it would have been. My mum (91) was a bit upset at first. >:(
