This at a time when the government are actively encouraging as much expansion of our airports as they can.  >:(

The reason? What cost 2 miles of tarmac versus a thousand miles of railway? Nothing to do with the environment. When it comes to getting the cheque book out and investing some of our money on something worthwhile....
