Current preferred Exhaust supplier
« on: 14 March 2014, 22:12:45 »

Evening all!

The time has come to replace the exhaust on my 3.2 Estate. I'm looking for whatever system is now recommended but it must have twin wall middle sections...

Any recommendations?

Eternalcar were the top recommendation 2 years ago but they never seem to have any stock & their web shop is a nightmare.

ETS seem to be indistinguishable in terms of price and quality and they are easy to order.

Either way you will need to order the system for 3.0 and then decide once it is fitted whether to fit exhaust trims (the facelift has a deeper bumper and neither Eternalcar or ETS list any systems after 2000ish)

Any links for ETS? They don't seem to list them either!

I'm awaiting a response on another one listed on eGay as for a 3.2 Estate but it has a single exit back box ::)

As for trims... They will be a must to ensure it clears the Irmscher bumper and a couple of nice tasteful chrome trims will be just the ticket ;)

Try ebay.de... Prices similar, better sellers deliver to uk and most can tell the difference between a 2.5 and a 3.2, so getting the correct back box should be easy enough :y

Haven't you got an Irmscher back box available?

Actually, is the system on the other car any use?

...twice the work admittedly.

Try this link. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150810088684?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT for an estate. IIRC biggriffin has one fitted to his estate and reckons them to be top notch, pic in link is not the exhaust you will receive, you should get the double skinned clamshell centre boxes.

Got the one for mine from this lot

http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/neu-car-parts?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754

Twin exit back box and 2 centre sections worked out around 125 quid delivered.
The centre sections delivered are the twin skin clamshell design that Eternal used to supply.
In fact, I believe it is the same system  :)

Other car has a stainless system but single (large bore) pipe all the way through and baked bean tin tailpipe ::) The only good thing is it's a proper one with flanges at the cats :y

I have considered it but the other car needs to go back on the road too... It may have to happen as a temporary thing ;)
