« on: 09 April 2014, 19:06:59 »

Got a bit of a lumpy idle come on over the last day or two,put the scanner on it and got a new code PO 173,any chance this may be the MAF starting to fail?

Only takes a small split in any of the four hoses which link up the breather system to create a rough idle.

Recently did the thermostat and found the (purge valve?) pipework split.

Cheaper to check than throwing bits at it.

Yep, brake servo pipe chafing on the air con pipe is another favourite. :y

Normally, a MAF problem would raise codes on both banks, as it affects them equally.
