Plastic Sill covers
« on: 11 April 2014, 18:05:37 »

Greetings all,

Question about the plastic sill covers.    At the rear end they appear to be held by two push pin grommets. Down the length they have round plastic grommets with metal in the middle? and can't see any fastenings at the front end.  I need to remove them but am not sure how clips down the length come out and how the front end is freed.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.  :)

One torx screw under the front corner, remove the little round clips from underneath and simply knock it forward a couple of inches and it should simply fall off...

All will then be obvious :y

When refitting, locate the cover in the rear end cap and line it up in its fitted position. Then smack it into place at each clip location to reattach it. Then finish up by refitting the screw and lower clips :y

I can report back that the sill covers have been successfully removed. There is some rust on the sills but not a lot, so while they are off the rust will be dealt with as part of the "restoration".

Thanks for all your help/advice   :y
