Yep....early to mid-seventies if memory serves. Personally I didn't watch it......because it was crap.

Don't see why... In fact they would probably consider it ahead of its time. Political protagonists, conspiring to install a black sheriff, who transpires to be rather capable, eventually saving the day before the whole film descends into farce
