I want the welder but what can you do with that one?? apart from weld obviously. Is this more for "agricultural" type stuff?

A quick answer is "not a lot". I think it would be difficult to learn with, and lead to frustration.
would be OK for up to maybe 1/4in (6mm) thick, but would overheat VERY quickly.

*maybe* OK for thinner stuff (couple of mm), such as 25mm square tube (market stalls).

Might be OK to knock up gates or "wrought iron" work.

TBH, if you've not done any welding, I'd avoid it - go for a higher power (160A ish).

In a nutshell:
Arc welding isn't good for thin metal, and this one is barely powerful enough to do thicker stuff.
It's NOT gonna work on car bodywork

At that current it will struggle to do more than 3-4mm

I went along to Lidl yesterday, just for food things mainly. Saw the generator, saw the arc welder, sockets set and othe car-type things.

And I bought . . . . . An "Ernesto" brand ceramic frying pan for £8.99 ! I took it straight home and used it. It's fantastic. Heats quickly and gets really hot, so should be very economical.  :y I may go back to get one of the larger size also. I also got one of the small kitchen knives of the same brand. The only thing is that if you care about how things look, they are pure white with bright green or orange handles.

Pink handles Rog. Pink.

Come on, stop tellin porky's ;)

Ok, I just didn't want to get Stemo excited

Bought the Tap Set whilst in there yesterday, doesn't seem too bad quality, handy having the the right drill bits with them though, dont expect them to last long, having said that I've manage to break some really expensive Taps before now, so for £8.  ;)
